Understand the noises coming from The Freestyle by Samsung
The Freestyle may make some noises while you are using it, such as popping or humming sounds. These sounds are completely normal and do not require service. You can review our guide to learn more about the sounds you may hear when using The Freestyle.
Note: Information provided applies to The Freestyle projectors sold in Canada. Available screens and settings may vary for projectors sold in other countries.
Note: The following sounds are normal.
- Fan sound
The projector’s internal fan will rotate while the device is being used. The fan is meant to cool down the projector's interior.
- Popping sound
The projector’s outer casing may expand and contract while the device is being used, causing a slight popping sound.
- Humming sound
The projector’s internal circuits may cause a slight humming sound. A humming sound may also occur when the projector’s brightness level is high.
