To remove your Digital ID from Samsung Wallet, you can use the app directly or remotely erase your device via SmartThings Find. Samsung ensures your Digital ID data remains private and secure, with no information stored on its servers.
1. How to Remove Your Digital ID from Samsung Wallet
Follow these steps to remove your Digital ID from the Samsung Wallet app:
- Open the Samsung Wallet app on your device.
- Go to the "Quick access" tab and scroll to find your Digital ID.
- Tap on your Digital ID and verify your identity using your fingerprint or PIN.
- Click the three dots (overflow menu) at the top right of the ID card details screen.
- Select the "Delete" option to remove your Digital ID.
If you lose your device, you can also remove your Digital ID remotely:
- Visit the SmartThings Find website and log in with your Samsung account.
- Select your mobile device from the list.
- Choose either "Erase data" or "Lock" to reset or temporarily lock your device, which will deactivate your Digital ID.
2. What Happens to Your Digital ID Data?
Samsung prioritizes your data privacy and security. Here's what happens to your Digital ID data:
- Your Digital ID is not stored on Samsung servers. The information, such as the front and back images of your physical ID and your photo, remains on your device only.
- Samsung does not send or store your Digital ID data on its servers. Only you, as the owner, can provision, access, or delete the Digital ID from Samsung Wallet.
3. Supported Samsung Galaxy Devices
Digital ID functionality is available on select Samsung Galaxy devices, including:
Galaxy S24, Galaxy S25, Galaxy S26, Galaxy Z Fold, Galaxy Z Flip, and Galaxy A series devices with Samsung Wallet support.
